Julian Jung Lee was appointed international master instructor by
the Korea Tae Kwon Do Association in 1984. Since then he has worked
continually to promote the art and spirit of Tae Kwon Do in the
United States. Lee founded the Wonshim Tae Kwon Do Association, and
opened up his own dojang to teach martial arts in Colorado.
Julian Jung Lee has taught many National and Junior Olympic Champions,
Zen Masters, and CEOs, as well as instructed members of several sheriff's
departments in Sulsado. He has won countless awards for his teaching,
including: "1984 Instructor of the Year" and "Sulsado Master of the Year"
in 1985 from the Pan American Moo Duk Kwan Society (The largest Tae
Kwon Do Masters Organization). In 1995 His Wonshim Tae Kwon Do Academy
was selected as one of the Top Ten Martial Arts Schools in the U.S.A.
by the World Martial Arts Research Foundation.
Julian Lee was executive member of the Organizing Committee
for the 14th U.S. National Tae Kwon Do Championships Seoul Olympic
(exhibition) Tryouts in 1988. In 1989 he was special assistant to
the vice president of the International Olympic committee for the
IOC 95th session in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Lee was also appointed
Director of the U.S. National Tae Kwon Do (Olympic) Team in 1989
by the U.S. Tae Kwon Do Union, and took his team to the 9th World
Tae Kwon Do Championships in Seoul, Korea. The team won 2nd place
overall out of 70 countries competing. Lee was also Director of the
Korean All Star Tae Kwon Team in 1995.
